各学院（单位）、实验室：

据报道，9月初，台湾2所大学接连发生3起实验室安全事故，分别在处理强酸废液、锂电池放电、用金属钠干燥去除水分实验中发生意外，导致学生脸部、手部等受到灼伤。这些实验室安全事故再一次警示我们，正确使用个人防护装备（PPE），能有效减少事故发生时对人员的伤害。为保障我校实验人员的人身安全，请所有实验人员严格遵守以下安全要求，正确使用佩戴个人防护装备：

1.基本要求：进入实验室必须穿着质地合适的实验服或防护服，严禁穿短裤、短裙、拖鞋、露趾鞋、披长发等进入实验区域。

2.眼面部防护：根据实验危险特性和风险评估，在开展化学实验、机械实验等时候，选择合适的防护眼镜并正确佩戴。进行化学、生物和高温实验时，不得佩戴隐形眼镜。进行具有喷溅、撞击危害的实验时，需要增配防护面屏。

3.手部防护：根据实验危险特性和风险评估，选择合适的防护手套，并正确佩戴。不得佩戴实验手套触摸门把手、电梯按钮等公共区域。

4.呼吸防护：根据实验危险特性和风险评估，进行具有挥发性毒物的实验时，选择合适的呼吸器并正确佩戴；使用前，检查呼吸器及滤毒盒/滤棉是否在有效期内，不用时须密封放置。

请各单位高度重视，加强对实验人员的安全教育和管理，切实落实个人防护要求，消除安全隐患。

To all schools (units) and laboratories,

Recently, three laboratory safety incidents occurred at two universities in Taiwan. These incidents took place during experiments involving the handling of strong acid waste, lithium battery discharge, and the use of metallic sodium for drying and moisture removal, resulting in students suffering burns to the face, hands, and other areas. These incidents underscore that the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) can effectively reduce injuries to personnel in the event of an incident. To ensure the safety of laboratory personnel, all personnel must strictly adhere to the following safety requirements and correctly use and wear PPE:

I. Basic Requirements: Lab coats are required to be worn when entering the laboratory. Wearing shorts, short skirts, slippers, open-toed shoes, or having loose long hair in experimental areas is strictly prohibited.

II. Eye and Face Protection: Depending on the hazards and risk assessment of the experiment, appropriate protective goggles must be selected and worn correctly when conducting chemical experiments, mechanical experiments, etc. Contact lenses are not permitted during chemical, biological, or high-temperature experiments. Additional protective face shields are required for experiments with splash or impact hazards.

III. Hand Protection: Depending on the hazards and risk assessment of the experiment, appropriate protective gloves must be selected in terms of type and material, and worn correctly. Laboratory gloves must not be used to touch door handles, elevator buttons, or other public areas.

IV. Respiratory Protection: Depending on the hazards and risk assessment of the experiment, appropriate respirators must be selected and worn correctly when working with volatile toxic substances. Before use, check the expiration date of the respirator and its filter cartridge/filter pad. When not in use, they must be stored sealed.

All units must take this matter seriously, strengthen safety education and management for laboratory personnel, effectively implement PPE requirements, and eliminate potential safety hazards.
