为提高安全意识，防范事故发生，特对实验室酒精灯使用安全提醒如下：

1.将酒精灯放置在稳定、水平的表面上，以防止在操作过程中意外翻倒和溢出。

2.酒精灯的灯芯外部长度一般宜控制在0.3～0.5cm。

（注：灯芯过短会导致空气进入酒精灯内，点燃灯芯时会发生爆燃，使灯芯喷出，把超净台上方的高效滤膜点燃）。

3.点燃酒精灯前，需检查酒精存量，应在容积的1/4～2/3之间，同时检查酒精灯灯芯的固定情况，以防灯芯掉落造成酒精灯内燃烧。

（注：酒精量超过酒精灯容积2/3，点燃时可能因酒精挥发、膨胀外溢而失火；酒精量少于酒精灯容积1/4，灯里充满着酒精蒸气与空气爆炸混合物，点燃时容易引起爆炸）。

4.添加酒精前，应先盖灭火焰，同时，远离生物安全柜和超净工作台（最好在水槽边进行），以防加入酒精时酒精洒出埋下火灾隐患。

5.点亮和调整酒精灯时，请穿戴适当的个人防护设备，如护目镜和耐热手套，以防止潜在的火苗飞溅和热暴露。

6.用70～75%酒精喷双手以及手臂后，不要马上点燃酒精灯，以防止手套表面的酒精被点燃，造成恐慌和烧伤。

7.始终在通风良好、没有易燃材料的地方操作酒精灯，确保灭火器或合适的灭火设备随时可用。当酒精灯在使用过程中小范围起火时，不要慌张，迅速用湿毛巾或者灭火毯将火焰盖灭，必要时使用灭火器，如果火情严重，应立即撤离，并向学校以及消防部门报告。

8.切勿让正在燃烧的酒精灯无人看管，并确保在使用后正确熄灭，以降低意外火灾的风险。

To improve safety awareness and prevent accidents in the laboratory, essential safety precautions to ensure the alcohol lamp is secure are as follows:

1. Select a stable, level surface on which to position the alcohol lamp. Stability is crucial to prevent accidental spills or tip-overs during operation.

2. Alcohol lamp wick external length is generally appropriate to control in 0.3 ~ 0.5cm.

(Note: the wick is too short will lead to air into the alcohol lamp, ignition of the wick will occur when the deflagration, so that the wick spray, the ultra-clean table above the high-efficiency filter membrane ignition).

3. Before lighting the alcohol lamp, check the amount of alcohol stock is between 1/4 to 2/3 of the volume, and also check the fixed situation of the alcohol lamp wick in order to prevent the wick fall caused by the alcohol lamp burning.

(Note: the amount of alcohol more than 2/3 of the volume, ignition may be due to alcohol volatilisation, expansion and spillage of fire; alcohol less than 1/4 of the volume, lamps are filled with alcohol vapour and air explosive mixtures, ignition is prone to cause an explosion).

4. Before adding alcohol, extinguish the flame, and also keep the alcohol lamp away from the biological safety cabinet and ultra-clean bench (preferably by the side of the sink), in order to mitigate fire hazards of alcohol spilling.

5. When lighting and adjusting the alcohol lamp, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety goggles and heat-resistant gloves, to shield against potential splashes and heat exposure.

6. Do not light alcohol lamps immediately after spraying hands or arms with 70 to 75% alcohol to prevent the surface of the gloves from igniting and burning.

7. Clear the surrounding area of any flammable materials and ensure that a fire extinguisher or suitable fire suppression equipment is readily accessible. When an alcohol lamp catches fire on a small scale, quickly cover the flame with a wet towel or fire blanket and use a fire extinguisher if necessary. If the fire is serious, evacuate the area immediately and report to the University as well as to the fire department.

8. Never leave an actively burning alcohol lamp unattended, and ensure that it is extinguished properly after use to mitigate the risk of accidental fires.
