2026年3月20日19:05,重庆大学一实验室发生爆炸事故,造成1死3伤,经初步调查,疑似因操作不当引发实验物品闪爆。此次事故后果惨痛、教训深刻。为切实筑牢实验室安全防线,保障师生生命财产安全,根据上级部门指示,实验室与科研设施部就进一步加强实验室安全工作提示如下:
一、强化安全教育培训,提升安全防范能力
强化“安全第一,预防为主、人人有责”的意识,加强实验室级实操培训,保障人人懂规范、会操作、会应急,提升师生安全风险辨识和防范能力。
二、强化项目风险评估,筑牢源头安全防线
实验项目必须提前开展安全风险评估,制定防护措施与应急预案,经实验室负责人审批通过后方可开展实验。
三、强化实验过程指导,严守操作安全防线
实验人员开展实验必须规范穿戴个人防护装备,严格遵守操作规程。危险实验、过夜实验严格执行双人在岗制度。实验室负责人、实验教师要细化实验过程指导,加强学生在周末、夜间实验的管理。
四、加强危险源管理,筑牢使用安全防线
加强危险化学品、气瓶、危险仪器设备等实验危险源全流程管理,重点落实使用和存储过程中的各项安全措施,如涉及易燃易爆、腐蚀性、毒性危化品必须在指定防护区域内规范存储和使用。
五、全面隐患排查,防患于未然
实验室即日起以最高标准、最严要求开展全面自查,逐一核查各项防护设施设备的有效性,防止设施设备“带病工作”。我部也将开展全校实验室安全大检查,对发现的隐患建账销号式闭环管理。
“实验要安全,安全才实验”,请全体人员深刻汲取事故教训,坚决杜绝侥幸心理,举一反三、警钟长鸣,坚决防范和遏制安全事故发生,共同保障学校实验室安全。

At 19:05 on March 20, 2026, a laboratory safety incident occurred at Chongqing University, resulting in one death and three injuries. The incident is suspected to have been caused by improper operation. The consequences of this accident were severe, offering profound lessons. To effectively strengthen laboratory safety management and safeguard the lives and property of faculty and students, the Office of Laboratories and Research Equipment issues the following guidelines for further enhancing laboratory safety:
I. Enhance safety training
Strengthen the awareness of safety first, prevention prioritized, and everyone accountable, enhance practical training at the laboratory level, ensure all personnel master standards, operate properly, and are capable of responding to emergencies. Improve the ability of faculty and students to identify and mitigate safety risks.
II. Strengthen project risk assessment
Experimental projects must undergo safety risk assessments in advance, develop protective measures and emergency plans, and can only commence after approval by the laboratory person in charge.
III. Strengthen guidance during the experimental process
Experimental personnel must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with regulations, and strictly adhere to the SOPs during the experimental process. For hazardous experiments and overnight experiments, the dual-person on-duty system must be rigorously implemented. Laboratory supervisors and instructors should provide detailed guidance during the experimental process and strengthen the management of students conducting experiments on weekends or at night.
IV. Strengthen the management of hazards
Strengthen the full-process management of experimental hazards such as hazardous chemicals, gas cylinders, and hazardous instruments, with a focus on implementing safety measures during usage and storage. For flammable, explosive, corrosive, or toxic hazardous chemicals, strict storage and usage within designated protective areas are mandatory.
V. Conduct comprehensive inspections
From today onward, laboratories shall conduct a comprehensive self-inspection with the highest standards and most stringent requirements, verifying the effectiveness of all protective facilities and equipment to prevent their operation while faulty. Our department will also carry out a comprehensive safety inspection of all laboratories, implementing closed-loop management by documenting and addressing identified hazards.
Experiment safely, for safety is the foundation of experiments. All personnel must learn profound lessons from the accident, resolutely reject any complacency, draw broader lessons, keep the alarm bells ringing, and take firm measures to prevent and curb safety incidents, jointly safeguarding the safety of laboratories.
